Dale Johnson (on the ballot as LionDale) is a candidate for Minnesota House of Representatives 51B on Bloomington's East side. The "Lion" is a tribute to Dale's many years of service in Lions Clubs International, the largest service organization in the world that supports local, national and international needs. Dale worked his way to Club President in Brooklyn Park and was awarded Member of the Year in 2011.
LionDale Johnson is known for organizing and promoting fundraisers with his local Lions Club which in turn helped support causes such as humanitarian crisis, diabetes, hunger and childhood cancer programs, along with large-scale projects to promote a sustainable environment. He understands how service to the community creates a positive impact on neighbors, near and far.
In this same spirit of service, LionDale is running for the 51B House seat. The uncontrolled spending, now at a 40% increase in the State budget, and nearly $500 million dollars in fraudulent use of tax-payer funded government programs are things ignored by our current State House representative.
Dale has been a member of several unions, including American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), US Postal Workers, American Transportation and Graphics International. As a senior-citizen and union member retiree, he understands the importance of earning a living wage and knows the challenges of living on a fixed income.
LionDale Johnson is committed to returning to common-sense spending and rigorous oversight of tax-payer funded programs. Your vote for LionDale will bring Your Vote. Our Voice back to the Minnesota House of Representatives.
